  • Up to 24 hours after cesarean delivery, there may be significant and red bleeding, but it gradually decreases and fades. Vaginal discharge may also be seen for up to one and a half months.
  • The pain of the operation site and the pain caused by the contractions of the uterus may be felt after breastfeeding. This pain is due to the return of the uterus to its original state before pregnancy and can be relieved with painkillers prescribed by your doctor.
  • It is recommended to avoid eating flatulent foods such as raw fruit, raw fruit juice, legumes and raw vegetables for 3 days after cesarean section.
  • Foods such as kebabs, grilled chicken, boiled meat or chicken and cooked vegetables such as carrots, pumpkins, potatoes and diluted compote water are more suitable.
  • In case of constipation, use soaked dried plums and figs.

  • Try to walk alternately because it reduces constipation and bloating.

  • If the belly is big, it can be tied with cloth (cloth shawl) or belly band.
  • Usually, the permission to exercise is explained by the attending physician in the first visit.
  • If you see fever, redness, pain, discharge and inflammation of the operation area, heavy bleeding, stiffness and swelling in the chest, headache, confusion and blood pressure above 14, go to the hospital.
  • It is safe to wash the sutures of natural childbirth with betadine diluted for three days and then with lukewarm water. It is also safe to take a bath and remove the bandage two days after cesarean section.
  • Prepare the prescribed medicines and take them according to the instructions, and visit your doctor seven to ten days after the caesarean section.
